Welcome!

Welcome to the 2022 Annual Tri-State Conference on Diversity and Inclusion conference Website!  As the 2022 Chairperson, it is my privilege to welcome back those who have participated in past year’s conference workshops and discussions as well as to greet newcomers to this noteworthy conference focusing on the important topics of Diversity & Inclusion.

During the past year’s conferences, I learned ideas and insights that resonated with me and continued to evolve, playing an important role in the diversity dialogs within my department and across the larger communities of involvement. The Tri-State Conference on Diversity & Inclusion is an event that I recommend to anyone interested in opening up to new possibilities, thinking more broadly, and making connections between deeply held beliefs and real world diversity issues. This year’s conference will focus on “The Pathways to Inclusive Excellence”.

Diversity & Inclusion are demanding issues that affect every industry, especially colleges and universities.  The diversity and inclusion conversation continues to develop.  This conference was designed to provide collaborative setting for professionals in settings that include: universities, businesses, law enforcement, healthcare, and communities as a whole, to elevate discussion, as well as to bring forth solutions.  Each of us play a vital role in inserting diversity and inclusion in our respective homes, work places, and casual settings.  This conference will help to improve our workplaces, campuses, communities and working environments by helping to create an open dialogue of discussion, increased learning, and knowledge sharing.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and look forward to seeing you on the Marshall University campus on Thursday, September 22, 2022!

Warm regards,

Shelvy L. Campbell—Monroe, PhD
